Q. What are the requirements to be a member? 
A. All Special Agents, retired or current agents, with at least five years of service are eligible to become members. Current Special Agents, who qualify, are admitted as non-voting Associate members 

Q. Can I advertise my business on-line?
A. Yes! Members may place an advertisement in the "open section" of the Website so that anyone accessing the site may seek your professional services. Last year there were approximately 12,000 hits on the Website per month. Ads are to be renewed annually.

Submit your application for your business using the on-line form. Examples of current ads may be viewed at the Professionals At your Service page.

Q. What is the cost to join? 
A. $50.00. Thereafter, yearly dues are currently $50.00 and are payable in January of each year when a bill is forwarded to each member.
 
Q. How do I join? 
A. An application for membership is provided online. New members may also mail applications and check to:

Q. Can IRS Criminal Investigation Division personnel, other than Special Agents, join AFSA? 
A. No. However, non-Special Agent personnel are invited to attend local and National  AFSA meetings.
 
Q. How many members does AFSA have? 
A. 1142 (as of 1 January 2006)
